We sat for several hours without any action and when we started running and gunning we ran on two gobblers but they were headed somewhere and it wasn't in front of us. I really wasn't even hunting, I just brought my bow along cause I knew I would see some if I didn't. Me and my wife were just scouting around some and sure enough I spotted one pokin along in a field. I told my wife to hang out for a bit while I put the stalk on him. I saw him around a 100 yards out and I went about half and waited and he happened to mosey on by me about 25 yards out where I launched my arrow. ... We couldn't figure out which set of gobblers we wanted to go pursue. So of course we picked the closest sounding set LOL. We called at two gobblers for 1.5 hrs and they never came! So we tried a little army crawl stalking and they busted my non-sneaky butt! Then I went out alone and got on two more gobblers and the same thing happened! Freedom hunt is a not for profit 501c3 organazation that takes underpriveleged/challenged youths hunting. My hunter, his dad, a cameraman and I had a great hunt and killed a real nice double bearded gobbler. Actually I doubled with Neigbhor Mike. Mr. Volway, Mike and I went Friday mid-day and after a couple of close calls with some Toms, we set up on a ridge point and after about 5 min of sitting down, Mr. Volway hit a few hen calls and up comes 4 Jakes from the bottom of the ridge. I picked the one with the longest beard (about 4 inch) and Neighbor Mike took another (about 3.5 inches). It felt really good to be carring something ...
