Spot Hogg sight = Sweet groups.

A lot of people told me that with the sight I have on my bow you can make so much detailed adjustments that I would be able to shoot the wings off skeeters. And were they not kidding. I was shooting some dandy groups all the way out to fifty today. My sixty yards group were nice, nicer than I have ever shot out that far, but fifty yards and in I was amazed. Got to the point where I couldn't aim at the same spot more than twice. I am so pumped up ...

Well everyone the season is just about upon us. I am sure everyone is dialed in or practicing intensely. I just wanted to throw something out there with these Spot-Hogg sights. I was very skeptical when asking about the vertical aiming wire with some of the sights. I thought it may cause some hinderance. Well to my surprise it is a neccessity!! In the past sometimes an arrow or group of arrows seem to be right or maybe left, off center anyways. Well I found out if I just use my sight pin only, ...

Finally got to put my Spot Hogg sight on yesterday. I have been shooting a ton of 3D the last couple weeks and hadn't had time to put it on my bow and sight it in properly. But I have a little break in between shoots so I mounted it on The Hoyt yesterday. I still need to tinker with it just a tad but really like it. By the time I was done last night I was drilling the X shot after shot. I really like the pin size of the sight. With my other sight I had a hard time seeing my arrow fly towards ...

Some of you know I have contacted Spot Hogg asking for the smaller diameter pins. The .010" to be exact. Well I received them today and swapped them out.

Here is pic of the first pin swapped out. It is the bottom pin so you can see the difference.

Here is the finished Hogg-IT Hunter with .010 pins.

Here is the sight back on my Hoyt AlphaMax

And a few pics of my AlphaMax!!

This awesome sight just got better (of course this is just my opinion as I love the smaller ...

I sent Spot Hogg and email asking about changing out pins to get the .010 pins. I heard back and they are going to do it. I can either send in the sight or they will send the pins to me. How awesome is that?! I think I will do it myself so I am not without a sight (I can't go without shooting my new bow can I? LOL). TOP NOTCH!! Spot Hogg rocks.

Helpful hints

Since we have been posting shooting tips lately mostly about the grip, I was checking out Spot Hogg's site and came across these helpful hints for shooting. Pretty informative stuff helping you relax while shooting to hold more steady letting your skeleton hold the bulk of the work while relaxing your muscles. I just saw Randy Ulmer say the same exact thing on Bowhunter Mag TV. Check it out at http://spot-hogg.com/helpful_hints.shtml

Ok guys and gals you will have to excuse the bad picture quality but I wanted yall to see my new Spot Hogg sight. The pictures dont do this guy justice. I just put the wrapped 7 pin Hunter Hogg-It on my bow and it is awesome! Like others have said before, Spot Hogg makes the toughest most durable bow sights on the market. I know that you can find cheaper sights out there but paying a little bit more now will pay off in the future because the things are built to last. Not only are they the ...
