Opening weekend of Wisconsin gun my uncle shot this awesome 13 point. 75 yards away going after a doe. 19 7/8 wide and has 11" g3's and the left g3 is split and it even has about 1" g5 coming out. The pictures don't do it any justice. We didn't get a score on him yet but man this thing is a stud and a half. My boy had to get in on the picture action to and I think I have him hooked on big bucks!

Took a nice doe today with my TC Thunderhawk...It was a 15 yard shot and she ran maybe 20 yards...It was a good day to hunt, she had about 10 other deer with her and she was one of the biggest...The best part was it was about a 20 minute hunt,I got in my ladderstand @ 2:30 pm and was done @ 2:55 pm and one my way back to get my bro in laws atv...Back to the house with some daylight to spare...

TG called me and told me that Lucky Buck, a old 8 point I have been chasing for 3 years now, is out in the field near our blind and our new hillside set. Gun season opens Saturday and he was only 80 yds from the new hillside set and 120 yds from our blind. He said he thinks he was out there last night to but it was raining and foggy and couldn't be 100% sure it was him. They also saw a big 10 we got some film of on September 16th and also have a few trail cam pics of chasing some does this evening. ...

Just got a call from my cousin and a buck we have been watching all summer has fought his last fight. Cousin blasted him this evening. Going to get to his house shortly to lay my hands on this dudes rack. He had passed this deer two times in the last two seasons and both off-seasons found both sides of his sheds and was hunting him only this year. I am so pumped up for him.

I will just number the pics and yall can number your guess accordingly. I dont know the ages for sure either, but I wanted to hear yalls thoughts. I will post the regular pics after a few days so you can see what they look like with their horns. Thanks!

Woke up this morning not knowing where Autumn and I were gonna hunt this morning. At 5 am I asked Autumn where she thought we would get on deer. She said to her favorite stand on a small farm that has an absolute thicket in the middle of it. Fast forward an hour and we are on stand with my new TC Omega I have named Black Betty. Morning started out pretty darn slow. Had the neighbors slinging lead almost every 20 minutes. About 930 the shooting matched the deer sightings... NONE! Even though we ...

Not a lot happening for CA but Mikey smoked a 145 inch 10 point the first day at 10:15. So with any luck he will put something on the ground tomorrow. He also said one of the guys in camp shot a 182 in ...

Well we made it back from Ind. Trip started out with a bang,First morning was about 30 degrees,Buddy of mine layed a nice 160 class down.THEN the weather took a turn for the worst,Remainder of the week was low mid 40's and high's in the 70's,As you all know that's not good weather for the rut. Saw some deer but they were few and far between. Now going in and coming out (while it was still dark!!!) we saw some monsters out roaming around,But as soon as that sun popped up they were all gone back ...

Well here he is... The buck I shot monday evening with a special military draw firearms tag. He is not a monster by any means, but I am happy with him. He is my first firearms buck ever and I got him with my Mossberg 500. Took one shot with the Winchester XP3 slug. He was at about 45 yards and he never took a step after I pulled the trigger. He was coming in on the estrus drag line I put down.

A big thanks to owner Robert who encouraged me to sign up for the hunt and also gave me ...

Been wearing out all my sets for the last week. Hunting hard and not even leaving the stand some days. With the corn being up earlier in the week it was nearly impossible to see a deer until late late evening. But on Friday the farmer got in and cut the majority of the 4 fields out. So that evening I decided to bust out my Scarface decoy. Had him set up 20 yards in front of my set in part of the field that had been cut. At 345 I see a buck come out of the corn and heading to the woods. I grab ...

I had one of the more eventful hunts of my short hunting career this evening. It started out fairly slow then I saw a 2 does feeding in my neighbors food plot (story of my life lol). About 5 minutes after they walk back into the pines, I see some movement to the right of where they were at. Then all the sudden I see a big rack raise up! I got out my grunt call and grunted at him and gave him some snort wheezes. He possibly didnt hear them due to the heavy traffic on the nearby road, but he calmly ...

I will be hunting from Saturday the 30th of October until Saturday the 7th of November. Because of the moon and the rut, I plan on being in the stand from dawn until dusk, but I was looking for some advice on how to hunt the midwest ...

Started off early saturday morning at 7 a.m. with the little brother killing his biggest buck to date, a solid ten point. Sunday afternoon had me sitting in a hole in the side of a food plot, I had seen 14 all together and right at 6:55 p.m. I had this decent 8 point and a smaller companion step out about 100 yards and I dropped the hammer on him.
Drove by the check in station on the way to the bank and see a couple guys standing around and was able to see the main beam of this buck sticking up past the bed.

I counted 17 points, they measured the inside spread just over 20 inches, and the G-2's are L-12.75 and R-13 inches

Dressed at 243lbs

The deer hardly had a tooth in its mouth, only 4 on the bottom back, the hunter shot the buck at 9am this morning.

The first few times out last week was a bust. didn't see anything.I think the high winds might have had something to do with it.I went lastnight and spent about 6-7 hours in a good steady rain,I figured the deer would be moving with the cold front coming in.I seen the first ones came through around 2pm,there were about 5 does. They were 60 yards out and moving on.I had a couple more come through around 6pm,they were maybe 30 yards out in front of me,but they were in they high stuff and all I could ...

It was a perfect morning, foggy, 6 mph WSW wind, 60 degrees. This was 14 year old CJ's first time in the woods. It takes him 45 minutes EVERY morning to get out of bed at 7am for school. This morning at 358am he sprang out of bed and beat me to the kitchen LOL. We had a fawn within 20 feet of us 45 minutes before daylight on our way in. We ended up seeing 3 more deer after daylight but nothing offered a shot. We cannot hunt this evening, so we got everything set for tomorrow morning.

Well boys and girls I had a great opening day hunt in Indiana. My cooperating teacher that I'm doing my student teaching with told me to take the day off and enjoy opening day so I did! Got on stand at my house about an hour before daylight yesterday morning. There was a light frost that morning and was about 38 degrees so it looked to be promising. That morning ended in nothing. I went back out at about 3:30 and got back on stand. Nothing going on until about 7:15 then I noticed what looked ...

Will be heading up to the Ky farms today and get some blinds set up for the youth hunt next weekend,Hopefully they have some of the corn knocked down.

If anyone has never got the chance to take a kid on a hunt you need to,I get more out of it than shooting one myself.Always remember that there is ALWAYS a boy or girl out there that would love a chance to go but doesn't have anyone to take them,I CHALLENGE EVERY MEMBER OF WA TO TAKE AT LEAST ONE YOUTH OUT THIS YEAR!!!Get these kids involved ...
