A witness coming from the other direction said the driver (the mother) had swerved to miss a deer crossing the road, went through a ditch and hit a tree head on. Mike and I went back to area 51 and to say that we had a good time would be an understatement. Mike was kind enough to take me to his sweet spot Saturday morning where he shot his 8 point a couple weeks ago and we had deer around us all morning , Mike saw a big 10 point that we named Diesel but only for a few seconds and then he disappeared. Saturday night, we pulled a double in the tree. I smoked a big doe with Glenn behind the camera, and then an 8 pointer we needed to take out came into the field so we spun the camera to me, Glenn grabbed his bow and took ole' "Club Leg" to the cleaners! This buck had a broken back leg and the growth around the break was nasty looking! The time between kills was about 5 minutes...pretty cool to pull ... My buddy Kurt went out and set a few sets for coyote and fox. He usually catches a few bobcats every year and we have to release them. Im going to take the video camera with me and see what we can get on film. Should be fun. Then that evening Kurt is going to film me hunting so that will be alot of fun. He got a trail cam pic of a really big 8 point the other day so I am hoping he will walk by. I will shoot a doe for sure so hopefully I can get something ...
