New York black bear down

Ok everyone the last day off our bow season was the 19th and I got lucky enough to hunt my friends farm and they where cutting the corn. We had a good idea there where bear in the filed. They got down to only about 4 passes left to cut with the combine when it happened for me. The mathews did its job. The carbon express maximas tipped with the G5 T3 broadhead made a dream of mine come true to harvest a black bear with my bow. I have been waiting for 21 years to achive this and it finally happened for me. Here are the pics.

Thanks guys I can tell you it was a huge rush. Took him to the taxidermist to get a full body mount will take about a year to get it back.

Awesome Chad, thats a good sized bear! How much did he weigh? I've had bear meat in a potroast before and I swear it was some of the best food I have ever eaten.

We just wrapped up our 3 day rifle season here. I chased them from dawn to dusk every day but never seen one. Bear is awesome slow cooked in the smoker. We'll be smokin up two of them up this Saturday in preperation for the upcoming rifle deer season.
