I know this site is primarily a whitetail/big game hunter discussion forum, but I am interested if any other of you WA users have bird dogs or love to hunt upland birds.
I have 2 Vizsla's, and just love to watch them problem solve in the field. There is nothing more rewarding to me then watching a dog hunt hard and get rewarded with a bird to carry around. We primarily hunt pheasant, but every so often I will reward them with a chukar or two.

beautiful dogs. I enjoy upland and waterfowl and I agree there isn't to much better than watching a dog work a field

Good looking dogs, I have never really hunted like that. we did have beagles and hunted for rabit and a few times would kick up some quail.
I would love to get out and do that sometime

I personally don't own any but my uncle owns 3. I usually go with him to hunt quail when it is in season.

I've had two labs over the last 16 years. I used to be all about bird hunting, quail was my favorite, then ducks, but then I got addicted to deer and burd hunting kind of took a backseat. My sister had two vislas, awesome dogs but WAY to hyper for her to take care of, they didn't hunt them and the poor dogs went nuts just wanting to run.
