In 2006 I finally got my first yote with the bow. I actually missed the little bugger at 12 yards when all I could see was it's head sticking out of a brush pile. Just about the time the bow went off he stuck his head back in the brush pile, and my arrow exploded into the tree behind the pile.
The yote didn't really know what happened, but he ran out of the pile to the field edge where I managed to take him at 34 yards. I had him on trail cam about 2 days before I shot him too.
A close up of the entry hole from the Slick Trick...the exit was far more nasty!
I never got a shot at this next one having only seen him once. I thought it was a black wolf until I sent this picture to the DNR, and they said it was most definately NOT a wolf. They said it was either a big black coyote or a "coy dog" but either way it was legal to kill it. I still have that email to this day for proof if I ever got the chance at him.
