I thought I might try a muzzle loader this year so I could have more days to hunt. Does anybody know anything about Traditions? They offer several models.

Never shot one but a few cousins and a freind has one and they like them. I dont know what models they have. I have a T/C. I use my muz during gun season. In our part of MD gun season is shotgun only and my muz shoots way better than any shotgun i have.

I have a traditions deerstalker .50 cal realtree synthetic stock muzzleloader. I do like the flintlock gun. I have not shot it in 2 yrs. I have had a crack at a few doe including a dandy eight pointer, but all have been misses. I think its more the operator than the gun. I do not shot it as much as i should. I really only us it to get out in the woods during extended season here in PA, which runs from Dec. 26th - Mid January. Only complaint...there is a gap in between the frizzen and barrel causing powder to fall out of the pan and onto the ground. I am by no means an expert on black powder guns..this could be operator error as well not sure though. I spend most of my time with the bow.
