| We still have some standing corn, and the deer are staying in there. TG and I saw 2 good shooters go into a standing corn field right behind his house Saturday. Thats gonna suck if thats there bedroom because that corn is still green, hasn't even thought about drying out, it's going to be there awhile. | |

| I've seen a few corn fields where they started to cut it around here...My main spot is in beans and it looks like it should be cut anytime, but I also like it standing since I can catch them going to and coming from it... | |

Haha it can be magical but I have never had any luck hunting them while they are standing. Corn fields usuall mean hard hunting when they are standing. But if you find a small strip woods, point, or wash out full of weeds, surrounded by standing corn, it can be extremely productive while standing. I have even sat just inside the wind rows and got deer walking down the edges. Here is where eveybody will probably disagree with me. I personally dont think that a BIG buck will walk, or stay actually in the corn unless pressured, chasing a doe or pushed somehow into it. Could be wrong, but that has been my experience. They run the edges, the wash outs etc... in my opinion anyway.

| twodog you wouldn't think bullwinkle would walk thru the tight rows of corn but I have seen some studs come out and go in standing corn before. | |

YEP I have too, no doubt they will. I just dont think they like to unless pressured, jumped, chasing a doe, or something like that. At least that has been my experience.
