at the moment all i use and have been using is mossy oak break up. but after getting spotted a few times in the tree, im starting to think that a change is due. i believe that break up is good for the early season. but now and for the rest of the season i want to see what you guys think between the mossy oak treestand or the real tree hardwood?? or if y'all have any other styles that you think might work for hunting in new jersey. look forward to hearing what you think. thanks for your input.

I wear Realtree AP, but nothing is going to hide a big clump in a tree. Make sure your tree has good back cover and plenty of cover in front to break up your outline and try to be as still as possible. Most of the time movement is what gets you, not camo. Plus deer get acustomed to deer stands and will look up everytime they get in the area.

I have been busted time and time again in Mossy Oak. I have had luck with Predator on my ground blinds and Natural Gear on my hunting clothes. Seems like Mossy Oak has been darker in the past and doesnt blend well at long distances.

Two years ago a friend talked me into trying an ASAT leaft suit and the results were absolutely amazing. I had turkeys under my tree at 5 yards and managed to slowly stalk with in several yards of a whitetail on the ground. I think the suit was only about $100 and goes over your existing camo.

But the old saying is still probably true, if the deer cant smell you they probably dont care what your wearing.

I am a huge Mossy Oak believer. I just recently switched all my camo I wear for deer hunting to the treestand pattern. It looks great now but I think once all the leaves have fallen it will look even better.

I think there are many effective patterns to blend but did you get skylined? I am guessing it has less to do with the pattern than having some good cover around. I always try to make sure of my background and foreground for cover while putting up a stand. It gets tricky come later seson when the leaves are down. I also try to place my stand so I can somewhat hide behind the tree or use the tree to help me blend in if possible. I will say MO is can be dark on materials though so maybe it blobs. You want some light colors blended in to help with the skyline when time comes. Cool stuff to think about though.

I wear realtree ap. Later in the year i wear realtree hardwoods...i think that is what its called. Sometimes during the early bow season i will throw on my realtree leafy suit.

MOSSY OAK!!!

OH Wait I have to say that... lol!

Honestly, there isnt anything better. The other camo patters are good, but Mossy Oak is the way to go.

My favorite pattern was Forrest Floor and they dont make it anymore, but my recliner is MO Forrest Floor!!!

Ha Ha

I have had both Mossy Oak and Realtree... I think both are effective patterns but I like Realtree AP the best!
