FINALLY!!!

My luck finally changed for the better this morning...I took this guy this morning around 9am.I was using a TC Encore and made a 120 yard shot on him and dropped him in his tracks.Here's the story...I get up in my stand this moring about 30 mins before daylight.It was no less the 10 mins that deer were walking all around me real close...All I could do was here them...A little after daylight I see a small 6 point come through...After several more shots from all around me,I figured the deer were being ran back the other way.I decide to make 4 quick grunts with one of my calls,then I follwed up with a few from the can call.It wasn't 5 mins later 2 nice bucks came in.They stared each other down and started fighting for a min or two.While they were doing that I slowly got my knees down on my platform of my stand and got a solid hold with my railing.He stayed behind a few limbs and brush for what seemed like hours,but was only mins.As soon as he moved to some clearing I made the shot.With all the smoke the ML put out I thought I missed him,but I loked through my scope and seen the white from his belly.He moved around for a min and it was all over...I feel so good right now,it's been a few years since I took a nice buck.He's at my Taxidermist right now.Now I have a few doe tags to feel...

Nice job Darin! He is a beauty... Way to go! He is a great buck. I like the long brow tines. Thanks for sharing the story and putting up the pic.

I'm not real good at scoring deer,but if you had to guess,what do think he will score?My taxidermist thinks mid to upper 130's...I know he's my biggest one now...Thanks again.

Yeah he's a beaut!! I would say 130-133". Great buck no matter the score!!
