The baby brother to the Icon...
Supposed to be almost just as great as the Icon just about half the price...
I have decided to trade my 30.06 savage in to get the Venture in .270 and top it with the nikon protstaff 3x9x40.
Question here is, has anybody shot one of these new thompson center phenominons??? I have read reports from magazines and what not but would like for a regular guy or gal to be able to tell me something about it.
Can anybody tell me anything about it at all?

I dont think T/C puts out a bad product. Dont have one and never shot one but I don't think you could go wrong with it.

i absolutely can not wait to get my hands on this thing and put some rounds through it... I know that i have much to do with it, but it is garunteed 1" or less groups.
What is a good way to get it all broke in...??
Lots of rounds or just a few at a time?
What are some opinions or expert advice here???

Barrel break in is not as important nowadays as many people think, but it is important to clean out small burrs and machining marks. As the bullet travels down a CLEAN barrel, its pressure and friction will do this. The best procedure is:
    1. Clean the barrel, paying extra care to the throat
    2. fire 5 one shot groups, cleaning the barrel between each shot.
    3. Fire 2 three shot groups, cleaning the barrel between each group
    4. Fire 2 five shot groups, cleaning the barrel between each group.
    5. You're good to go!
