| Just wondering if y'all set goals before season what are they and do you normally stick to them? I have a couple of goals this year I want to help my 7 year old son get his first archery buck and a good friend of mine found this buck on some public land in a youth only area, he has caught him on camera over 100 times and he is close to a mile walk in to him. We hope to get my son on him on a gun hunt this year. Im thinking he was pushing 160" last year I cant wait to see pics this season! Myself I wanna kill a 150" buck with my bow on public land in Tennessee. I stick to my goals pretty good but I know anything with more than 130" of bone on his head is getting shot. | |

| That's amazing your 7 year old can pull enough weight to shoot a deer. My 8 year old isn't there yet. Best of luck to you and your son.
My goals are mostly the same each year. shoot a mature buck and help my buddies do that same. Also each year I have a goal of getting each kill on film.

| I see many of you tape your hunts. Just curious do you film yourself or have a cameraman? | |

In the beginning it was all self film but each year it's more and more with a cameraman. It's really hard to get great footage while self filming

Cool nothing like helping someone get their first game animal. Its a gift that just keeps on giving when we pass it on. Good Luck mathewsguy

| That buck in your trailcam pics is a pig! What a buck for a kid! My goals are always to take a mature buck. And I make sure to smoke a few does while waiting for that big buck to show up! | |

| My goal every year is to take a mature buck and as many does as I can. The last couple of years we were compiling a hit list of around 4-5 deer and trying to kill those deer and that was a lot of fun. With the shake up we had with our hunting properties we are going to have to work and scout a lot harder now to get that done. | |

Great goals and nothing like added challenges to add some extra fun to a deer season. Good Luck.
