So what do you all use when you hunt, shotgun muzzleloader pistol or rifle? I like to use my muzzleloader for the whole season that way I'm used to it during Muzzleloader season and don't have to switch and its more accurate and better range than shotguns.

Of course it's a bow most of the time but I like using a firearm too. Till last year I used my ML for the whole season but my wife bought me a nice shotgun I used during gun season now

I use only the bow for deer. Shotgun for the birds.

Last year was my first year hunting in Indiana with a firearm. Took deer with both the shotgun and muzzy. Both of them dropped right where I shot them, so I still have not decided which I like better...

Love my bow the most. During rifle I use my 270 pending what zone I am in. If I am hunting a shotgun county I use my muzzleloader.

I know its true, beware of the man with one gun. Shooting with one gun all season does make you more comfortable and confident with it, but I love mixing it up. I love hunting with my rifles and I plan on taking 2 different muzzleloaders out this year. It's fun to mix things up, its like driving a new car, just plain fun! Plus I like to work up loads for my guns and try them out.

As much as I like bowhunting when it's time for rifle season I have no problem picking up the 7 mag for deer, bear and elk. I do take out a handgun sometimes for doe. Late season it's the flintlock.
