Man I hope it cools down for October. Romer and I were talking today and he had heard the worst hasn't even hit yet!!! ITS HOOOOOT OUT!!!

Question: if the temps are in the 90's for opening day, will you hunt?

Yeah, I'll hunt the opening 3 days, but if it doesn't cool off I'll take it easy until they start moving again.

I will be out for sure. They say when the crickets and cicadas (how ever you spell it) start there chirping sound that means that there is six weeks till frost. They are chirping now. I work on grounds where I work, and we have plants that are 3 weeks early for blooming, so for the things that are happening with mother nature it sounds like a early fall. We will see?

I will definetly be hunting opening day no matter what the temps are. I will be hunting a pond if it is that hot.

found a nice backwoods watering hole, on some new property in Monrovia today. Look to be good trails and tracks coming in to it, but getting to it is hard, very thick!! I think I found a good bedding area also, kicked up 7 deer this morning on accident.

Sounds like you found a good spot recon...

I hope so, access is limited, so sneaking into different stand locations is going to be hard, but I'm working on clearing a path to help quiet my steps. Guess the only way to find out is try and to hunt!

Good luck with that set. Waterholes should be the ticket around my neck of the woods as hot and dry as it's been all summer.
