| Hi everyone,
I'm a new member from NY. We hunt pressured whitetail on small tracts of private land. Every year, my hunting grounds shrink due to too many people hunting the same areas as me. We take a trip to the Adirondacks every so often to hunt the " Big Woods", and occasionaly have the same problem on state land. My friends and I are planning a trip to Ohio to bow hunt the Rut from Nov 5th to the 15th on State Land. Can anyone give us some help on choosing the right place to be to avoid all the hunters, and take advantage of the good mix of DNR foodplots, brushland, and hardwood ridges that Ohio has to offer. There's just soooo much state land available, it's been hard to choose a spot. Thanks and good luck to all this year.

| You might want to check the tri valley wildlife area it is between woodbury and dillion lots of farm ground around it has alot of good deer. It is where I would head to . It is located outside of Dresden and goes to Adamsville. | |

| Welcome to WA! Always good to see a fellow NYer on board! I have hunted Woodbury 2 of the last 5 years...There is alot of land spread out over a pretty big area but it gets hunted pretty hard. Woodbury was highlighted in one of the hunting mags a few years ago and seems to be gaining in popularity. If you go Woodbury everyone and their kin hunt around the headquarter building! Good luck and have a blast!! | |
