Just checked my camera I got out and the really good 8 hasn't been back since Sunday or the big 4 that was running with him. They cut the last half of the field Saturday, I think he may have changed his location for awhile. Hope not, has anyone else had this happen to them 3 weeks to the day before season opener. I think he may be back sometime but don't know when.

If he was using the "Hay" field for bedding it may change things for ya.

I think he was using it as his main food source, it would be like a group of deer using a bean field as its main food source and cutting the beans. I was wondering what I may expect or what others have experienced.

Well Harvester I live in Tn myself, don't hunt Tn but what I would be looking for are some acorns,we hunted this past weekend in Ky and they are starting to fall,If you find a good mass of them that's where your deer are gonna be.
GOOD LUCK

With some rain a hay field should green up some in 3 weeks. Either way when the mast crop is falling I typically see a decrease in field activity till way after shooting hours. Good luck learning his new pattern.

All the acorns that I have been finding are being cut by squirrels before they even hit the ground. Mostly whiteoak. I did find a persimmon back in turkey season whick I plan on looking at this weekend and hopefully it will have some sign, just hope it doesn't fizzle out before the season opens if it has deer candy on it. I saw the deer a bunch last year and passed on him because he wasn't what I was looking for BUT this year is all together different. Had alot nicer buck show up last year but no signs of him yet. Just wainting on him also.
