RAGE 3 BLADE ILLEGAL IN TENNESSEE

According to another site, the Rage 3 blade are illegal in the state of Tennessee. The decision came from a TWRA employee. As far as the 2 blade Rage, they are legal.

How does that work, how can they single out just one braodhead and not all the ones similar? This can't be fo real.

They are considered a barded broadhead. The blades will not close after being shot. For instance on marginally hit deer the broadhead will not close up and let the arrow fall out. TWRA doesn't allow a broadhead that stays open beyond 90 degrees. A muzzy fixblade broadhead is at 90 degrees. The Tekkans are illegal as well, but I'm not sure which one. The discussion was on (Tndeer.com talk forums under TWRA questions) if you are interested. The only leagal broadheads in Tennesse must be of the barb-less design.

I know the 3 blade Rages are illegal in New York as well.

Everything is illegal in New York... I got my rages and I'll be in the woods Oct 2nd, and I am so ready!

That is crazy. I have never heard of anything like that. I have my rages and the are also ready for tomorrow morning.

Dave you are right they are illegal in new york. NY has alot of crazy laws when it comes to hunting.
