Does anyone Know?

Does anyone know if it is unlawfull to hunt on an old Cemetery?
I have a Property that I can Hunt on and it has a cemetery just off his property. The landowner takes care of the cemetery. Last night I did, and WOW! These deer are not pressured at all. Saw 18 doe, NO bucks and just before dark, 8-10 came in and stomped, and bobed their heads for about 15 min while I had my bow in hand. I thought I was going to be there all night!!

Not 100% sure. I would think that as long as it is not within city limits and you have permission from the land owner that you would be safe. You could always give the DNR a call to double check if your not sure. But hopefully you can connect on a good buck that shows up and give him an early grave!

I don't believe you can hunt in the cemetary to be honest

I have always heard that you can't hunt a cemetery, but I can't find any information on it either. I don't know...but I sure have seen a lot of deer in cemeteries!

I have heard of people hunting cemeteries here in MD. In areas where the deer population is out of control. The deer eat the flowers from the graves. Also it it is on private property it shouldn't matter. Most are companies that are hired. Like in this one development near me this year the home owners assoc. hired a outside company who brought in hunters like us and ran them through a series of tests to see if they qualify to archery hunt in wooded areas around the development. The deer are eating the landscape and running through the ball fields while people are present.
