Hey all Don,Mark,Mikealj and myself were all lucky enough to meet a GREAT couple (Jim & Kerri) from Wisconsin while we were hunting with CCO a couple weeks ago, they got to telling us a horrible story with screw in tree steps that involved their son. One of the steps broke off while he was climbing and when he slid down another step caught him in the chest and ran up to his throat,He is a VERY lucky young man,if you look close you will see a tube hanging out of his neck that was 18"s long and they had to take out daily to clean. Get the word out folks, use these things for HANGERS ONLY.His mom (Kerri) says the grin is from the medication!!

That makes me sick. I still have stands with screw in steps and it is always in my mind what would happen if I slipped or something of that nature when I climb in. Man someone was watching over him.

Carrie said it missed cutting the artey by 1/16 of an inch. I've never had them break but I have slipped off them and caught them in the arm and leg. I rarely ever use them for anything but hangers now, the ladders are way easier and safer.
