PostSubject: Wanting to buy a new muzzleloader   Sat Jan 01, 2011 6:17 pm

I shoot an Encore 50cal muzzleloader now, like it alot. Have been looking at Bad Bull muzzleloaders for the past few days, Figured if I had one of them, I wouldn't have to use a rifle when I go to KY deer hunting. The ballistics of the Bad Bull are pretty impressive. They shoot a 275gr bullet 3100fps and had 6000fpe, that would cause some serious damage to a deer. They are a 400yrd gun. The only down side is the price, for the top end muzzleloader it cost $3,950 and the low end is $2650. They use high power rifle frames to build their guns. Use a Ruger #1, Remington 700, Remington xp 100, and a savage model 200. I had emailed them to see if it be cheaper if I was to send them my Remington 700BDL and convert it to a muzzleloadr. They said they take $500 off if they used my gun.

Bad Bull Muzzleloader Models

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bad Bull X-Series

click the image above to enlarge

The Bad Bull X-Series is based on the famous Remington short action. This action is short and stiff, and produces extreme accuracy. The stock is a very stable laminated thumbhole version equipped with a 1" recoil pad. The trigger is adjusted to remove all creep and is adjusted to 2.5 lbs pull.

This unit also features the new Two Stage Patented Breech Plug System. You can remove the primer without firing the load. Another new feature is the bolt primer installing system. You do not need or use a primer installation tool. You simply open the bold, insert the primer, and close the bolt.

Price $3,950.00

Bad Bull FB-Series

The FB-Series is built on the Ruger #1 falling block action. With the use of this action, we are able to produce a shorter, lightweight Muzzleloader. Using a 26" barrel and the falling block action, the FB-Series is 6" shorter and 1.5 pounds
lighter than the X-Series (see specifications chart at the bottom of this page).

The FB-Series is also very user friendly since it is not necessary to remove the bolt during loading or unloading. This unit shines for those who "Rattle In" whitetails, climb the mountains in search of that majestic bull elk, or make the African safaris.

Price $3,950.00

Bad Bull G-Series

Also to reduce cost, a gray synthetic classic design stock and the standard Steven's 200 trigger is used. Upgrades are available.

Not familar with that brand to be honest. I've been using a T/C for several years though and it shoots darts. With a magnum load you could kill a deer at 250 yards. My T/C is as accurate as any gun out there.

I am selling my CVA Optima 209 Stainless Steel#47;Camo .50Caliber Rifle. I have shot it only 5 times and just bought it this past season. I didn't have time to go and don't think I will go again next year so I that is why I'm selling it.

Their is a gun smith in Virginia that builds smokeless custom Muzzleloaders using the TC Encore and Remington 700. He will use your gun and is very reasonably priced. http://DSSCustomguns.com.

I've looked into those...man do they look sweet! Thats an aweful lot of power for whitetails, but if you can afford it, I'd say pull the trigger! There is nothng else out there like it. The savage ML10 gives you a little more than your standard ML, but what your talking about is in a class by itself.

Unfortunately they stopped producing them, but look online for a used one. You can use smokeless powder in them and get great velocities and accuracy.
