every year I try and take my son, who will be 9 in April, on a fishing adventure somewhere we've never been. Last years was sleeping in the truck and then hitting the Ohio river by boat for some cat fishing and stripper fishing. Was a pretty fun time. My good friend Zach always joins us to help with the filming and of course the fishing Very Happy

This year we are heading north for some Musky fishing. I've never been Musky fishing either so it'll be a first for all us. Hitting the water in May. Had to wait till after Turkey season of course. Should be another great trip and hopefully the Musky will follow the script as well. Wish us luck

Good luck... They don't call them the fish of 10 thousand casts for no reason. I hope you each get to tie into a good one though.

THAT SOUNDS LIKE BLAST. I got a chance to do it back when i was a teenager. we went up to canada and did it and it was a blast. we caught a couple muskies each and a ton of northerns.

Just wait till you see that big one come in on your bait and follow it right to the boat and not hit it. will make your heart beat a hundred miles an hour LOL.

Cant wait to see the pics from the trip

I accidently caught a spoonbill once. Crazy cool looking fish. The one I snagged was small. Only about 5 feet long. Gonna have to wait for a few years to take Nikolai on that trip. He is only 8 and probably couldn't get a big spoonbill in.

Here is a pic of the spoonbill I caught a few years back. Caught it out of a 4 acre lake. The lake owners had put a few of them in there about 25 years ago to help clean it. I believe spoonbill live a very long life. This could have been one of the original fish put in

Thats a great catch my friend, and they are believe it or not good eating, Actually you don't even have to clean the fish, the fish and game patrols the river and if they see fish hanging from the side of the boat they stop and ask if you want it to be cleaned. They give you a tag with a number on it and later you go and pick it up fully cleaned , deboned, professional packed and frozen all for free. Wish i could find the picts i'll look and post them if i find.
