MOst of us could stand to drop a few pounds and even get in better shape. Might be easier if we do this together. Who would like to join me in a summer shape up for deer season? I'm also interested in hearing good ways to do this so fire away

I continue to to try and get in better shape....a year ago May I weighted 240 or so....got down to 182, now at about 188 so I'm looking to loss about 10 pounds and continue lifting weights. I lift daily , situps, pushups....and have started jumping rope....believe it or not it's a great exercise.

The most obvious way to lose weight is to burn more calories than you take in..... I am back on my 1000 calorie per day lifestyle ....don't think of it as a diet.

1 pound is 3500 calories ...... your body will burn about 2000 or so calories if you just stayed in bed all bed and did nothing..... one easy step is to setup an account on www.myfitnesspal.com it's free and can calculate everything you eat and track your calories...its pretty cool site

So I think I'll get a sticky post up on here in the next few days. Would everyone be up for posting a pic of the before? Was thinking maybe a before and then in a few months we can go with an after. If you are uncomfortable with that then please pass on the picture part but you are more than welcome to still participate. Mark has done an amazing job with his weight loss and has posted up some helpful stuff. I'll look around and see what else I can come up with. Mark and I's partner on the site, Brandon, owns a fitness club so I'm sure he'll be able to add plenty to this for us as well. He is dealing with some family issues right now and has our thoughts and prayers. Once he is back on I'll hit him up

I'm in, if I can drop 25lbs by hunting season I'll be one happy camper. I'll actually be back to my weight before I got married!
