hunting early season?

Was wondering when you hunt the most in early season, in the morning or in the evening? I can say I hunt more in the evenings unless I have patterned a buck that is showing himself in the morning, but I have never had much success in the mornings in early season

I hunt both about equally due to working 3rd shift. I'm able to get home and in the stand before sun up. Right behind my house I have seen more deer in the mornings the other property is new this year so we will see.

Evenings i seem to be able to pattern them better in the evening the seem to always eat in the same spot each evening but sometimes take a different route to bed..If i had a big hardwood ridge between feeding and bedding area with a pinch point i would hunt that in the morning to catch them comeing back to bed

I hunt either, I will say i have taken my 2 largest deer in the am, My 124 was taken 5 minutes after legal shooting light, i'm glad i woke up at 2am to drive 3 hours for it. i wouldnt trade anything to stand over a great deer with a great sunrise. But I make the schedule at work so i just schedule myself off according to the movement on my cam.

I hunt both morning and evening but find the evenings are far more productive. The morning sets I choose are not on food sources and geared toward bedding areas or trails leading to bedding. They are usually a pain to get to because I want to avoid all the food source as to not bump ANY deer on the way in. The morning sits are usually not on good farms either just because I don't want to bump any GOOD bucks on our better farms. It's a whole lot easier to get in on a good one in the evening. Just remember you need to get out undetected also. Don't want to educate your buck early.
