im a little skeptical, are they really that much better... Ive been using my bushnell 450 and have had no problems with differences in yardage. Thanks

i also have the same range finder as you. If i were going to be shooting at some extreme angles then maybe ill put up the dough for one. I usually just range a tree across from me at the height of my stand and its pretty close. Or you can do the pythagorean theorem. If your shooting a fast bow 300+fps a yard or two off wont make much of a difference.

I have a Nikon Archers choice with the ARC feature, I really don't think it is necessary unless you are shooting some really extreme angles. I wouldn't have mine if I had to get it myself, my girls got it for me for christmas

I have one, the nikon riflehunter 550. I played around in the stand, and even up almost 30 feet, I was only getting one or two yards difference. Might make a difference on long gunshots down a canyon or up a cliff, so I'm glad I have it for these Indiana mountain goats!

I'm with Zach on this. I think they are most beneficial on long gun shots with steep inclines.

When bowhunting I do like IN buck buster, range a tree at approx the same height. I hunt some steep sidehills so if the rangefinder I have breaks I will consider replacing it with one that has ARC compensation. I made an educated guess at a real steep uphill shot that ranged at 400 yards, aimed a little high with the 300 yard crosshair and got him.
