| is there something cheap to use to check wind outta a windicator to tell wich way the wind is blowing.. I used all mine up last year and just bought a new one but was wondering if someone has used something else in them such as flour or baking soda... was wondering if it would clump up or be tooo heavy to float in the air and ust drop strait to the ground.. | |

| I've heard of guys using unscented talcum powder before, get ya a cattail and pull the fluffy insides of it out and put it in a ziplock bag, put it in your pocket and when you want to check the wind just let alittle of it go and it will float on the wind | |

| Unsented talcum powder works good. Although I've been using some HS scents deoderant powder lately, it was a Christmas gift and I'm just not big on powdering my pits. | |

| cotton balls work really well, just pinch off a few strands off of it and it floats well. | |

| Cheap bubbles the ones kids play with. They float farther than powder. | |

| Cotton works great. I usually just got buy a new one each year. Can pick them up at Gander for a few bucks and then I don't worry about it | |

| I like to use a small dried up leaf,it's cheap, readily available and works.just make sure you're wearing gloves or using some type of scent killer on your hands.closer to the rut I'll put a few burst of a buck bomb out and see where it's headed. | |

| All I can say is that I used the Tinks 69 buck bomb and the second time using it I shot my 8 pointer that came right to it.Might just be luck.I still have 4 cans left over from last year.I like the fact that the mist will follow the wind and stick to everything in it's path. The one thing I don't like about it it the hissing sound.I just use short burst instead of letting the whole thing go all at once. | |
