Went out today and had 3 jakes come out with 2 hens, and were slowly making there way over, then a hen flew down from the other side of the field and I thought we got her mad and here she come on a dead run right towards us. The field dipped and she disappeared and next thing I knew she was going the other way, don't know if she didn't like the decoys or what. So nothing worked out there and we headed off to another property. We were walking across a field and just as we got to the top of the crest my buddy hit the deck, I thought he fell for a moment. then he said 20 yards in front of us there was a tom. So I army crawled about 10 yards and got up to shoot and he was just heading into the woods. argggg no shot. Oh well, so that is how my day went.
