not with my thumb release but with my old scott wrist release. Last year i was in my blind i started to draw back on a doe. I got about half way back and pop the release opened up and busted my lip. The arrow lands at the feet of the deer and they take off. I had a decoy/3D target out in the field and decided to shoot another arrow to see if i hit the trigger or it came loose. Well i busted my lip again and lost an arrow. The release was about 20 years old and just had enough so it went into the trash and i bought a thumb release. So yes 2x in about 5 minutes.

Thats why i don't use them. Couple yrs ago thought i would give one a try after yrs of using tru ball tornado buckle release well not being use to the thumb release i drew my bow aimed and released, when i released i let go of the thumb release at the same time, it hit the rest destroying it then hit the cam bending it also. Haven't used once since. Mad
