have you ever heard that a broadhead will fly better when the blades are aligned with the fletching? I ve read somewhere that this is not true but today my shooting revealed that it is fact with my set-up. I was shooting muzzys which ive always aligned blades with fletching on anyways..Well today i figured to test it out to see if it was true and my arrows actually flew about 6 in from field points.. I then shot one aligned and it hit where my field tips where..I done this several times with the same results...Just wondering if anyone else had noticed this before...

I have never done it but I could see that it could would. But also it could distrupt the air for the fletchings to guide the arrow.

I think that with a proper tuned bow it shouldnt matter.

my thoughts too but my bow is very tuned in..I 3-d alot so its tuned the best it can be.. Paper tuning it punches perfect hole..The only thing i can think of is my fletchings are straight and not helical.. Maybe that makes the difference becase it is not spinning it as fast.. Question Shocked

The bigger the broadhead the more important this is. When using a big fixed blade it's important to tune the heads to the vanes. When using mechanicals or smaller broadheads like something on inch or smaller cutting diameter then it's not as important. Either way, in my opinion, it's always best to error on the side of caution and do everything I can do to make sure my arrows are flying as true as I can get them.
