its gonna be alittle warm this year i think for the beginning of season.. My question is what is the temp at which you would let a deer lay all night if you wasnt for sure of the shot.. I was thinking maybe in the mid 50's but i could be way wrong.. I have left a gut shot doe out avernight in freezind temps, and when i recovered her she was still a tad warm so she must have suffered through the night and died sometime early morning.. i soaked the meat for a few days and you couldnt even tell she was a gut shot deer or laid out over night..

My target temp is 40. If it's above that I have concerns about meat.
