X2! ! !

Hunting with a crossbow is great for anyone who wants to do it, just don't try to force it on early archery season. If you're shouldering a stock, looking through a scope, and pulling a trigger, do it during the firearms season.

Im on both sides on the crossbows.. I like them and think they are another good way to enjoy the outdoors and get new people involved...BUT i dont think they should be involved in the archery season.. MAybe involve it with our 10 day muzzleloader season ... I do not feel crossbows should be involved in archery season since it has a stock and is in the drawn position...

I like the bundle license for sure. I don't really have an issue with the crossbow. It only affects people hunting public land for the most part. if you hunt private land then you shouldn't have to worry about it. Plus my compound shoots further and with less noise then any crossbow I've ever seen. For me it might be a good option for my son who is 9. I've not looked at them though so who knows.

The way I look at it is if the State says its legal then I'm not gonna bad mouth it, we get enough of that from the anti's, is it my cup of tea? no its not but I do know that here in Ohio we have had crossbows included in our general bow season for many years now,. When it first started everyone was saying it would kill bowhunting in Ohio, too easy to kill a deer with a crossbow but it has not hurt us at all, if anything it has helped us by getting alot of kids in the woods hunting who would otherwise not be hunting due to not being able to draw a 40 pound bow ( minimum draw weight for Ohio), it has also helped alot of our older hunters continue hunting after they couldnt hunt with a vertical bow any longer. Like I said I will continue to hunt with a compound bow until I can no longer draw one back either due to age or injury and then I have no problem hunting with one. I really dont think the guys from In. will see alot of change, at least we didnt in Ohio.

our state (MO) allows diabled hunters to use crossbows during archery season.. I see no problem in letting people use a crossbow who cannot draw a bow because of physical issues..Other than that crossbows are only allowed during rifle season.. I look for alot of other state including missouri to allow crossbow use also.. Its good to hear from someone that it has not made a bad impact on archery season in thier state (ohio)... Other than hunting impact it does have added benefit to that states conservation because of more hunters buying tags, and if they buy tags they gotta buy gear, etc., meaning more money for the state/conservation..

I like most of it. We need to get firearms season pushed back to the first week of December to get ut out of the rut.
