what to plant

i live in tn and was lookin for a good plot i could plant in the woods. i was thinkin of a winter peas, clover, brassicas mixture let me know what you think the land is kinda silty and gets maybe 4 hrs of sunlight.. great place and need a plot there.. im gettin it mixed at the local feed store so any help is greatly appreciated thanx fellers.

Its really up to you what you want to plant, The only thing I would recommend is to buy your seed from a company that makes it for food plots only. They have spent many years testing the plants to make them grow better and attract deer better. The local coop will just have regualr seeds and they might not produce very well with the limit of sunlight. Ive never planted food plots in an area like that so I cant give you much advise so I would call the folks at antler king first and tell them what your doing, they will know exactly what to do.

That's what I was going to say but with only 4 hours of sunlight you definitely want something that is better in shady type situations. The MiniMax I just planted down a trail (sparse sunlight at best) is growing in well. These areas are more likely to have better moisture too. I'm gonna stop him on the trail before he enters the plot and kill him! LOL
