Hunting in WI Empty
PostSubject: Hunting in WI   Hunting in WI EmptySun Aug 16, 2009 2:30 am

I have a hunt planned on a private farm in Adams County in Wisconsin for opening weekend of rifle season. Anyone out here have any info on that county, or part of the state? Never been there, so its sort of a blind hunt.

Any information will be a great help!

Thanks,

Thanks everyone. I am excited for this season hunting in Kansas and Wisconsin and Oklahoma. Just worried about my taxidermist bill? Good problem to have though!

It sucks putting all that $ out on the taxidermy bills, but it's worth it every time you look at them hanging on the wall. Good luck this year.

I'll bet you that hunting in WI will be better than sitting on the couch. They have some big deer up there from what I have seen.

It actually is a really good area out of the CWD zones with plenty of herd numbers. You'll just have to hold out for that P&Y but you should see plenty. I never hunted that area but know a little of it. Just be prepared for the million hunter march come opening gun day!!

Thanks Jody....

I hope we have a great trip. It looks like we are going to get access to this farm every year now, just wish it wasnt 1,500 miles from home.

What kind of weather can I expect at that time? I have been to Saskatewan twice around the same time.

In my 25yrs of Wis openers I've had several seasons of rain, several of snow, several 40-50 degrees, its a mixed bag. I'd be prepared for low teens and snow or low 40's and rain for the extremes.
