| Filming for Midwest Whitetail this year, I have to go with a T/C. Anybody have a recommendation of the best model? | |

| The best gun I've ever owned is my TC Omega muzzleloader. That dude is deadly and has 250 yard ability. Joe and Zach have both used it and can attest to that. It's a camo thumbhole and a SS barrell with a Camo Nikon Omega SCope. This gun has served me well for three years now and has killed a good number of deer. Not only does it shoot extremely well but it looks great on camera. Here is a picture of it that I took shortly after I bought it: | |

| Yeah, Mike... you probably want to go with a set up like Roberts. I'll vouch for it! | |

| The Omega is awsome Mike. My dad has one and purchased a .204 barrel for it. It is so easy to interchange and shoots very very true! If you want me to look for one here in town for ya let me know! | |

| I'm actually going to have to disagree a little here. The Omega is a good gun, but I'm pretty sure you are limited to black powder only with it. I would go with the Encore or maybe pro-hunter because you can get a rifle barrel, shotgun or stick with the muzzle loader. If you need to shoot further than the bow is capable of and a rifle is legal when and where the situation occurs (such as a long shot on a pipeline), the rifle might come in handy. If I were 100% sure I would only use it in black powder season or where a rifle isn't useable; the Omega is a great choice. | |

| The .270 is probably the best deer size riffle out in my opinion. It's got the long rance punch and still enough power to put down the big boys. We can't use them in Indiana but if we could it would be a .270 for me | |

| The 270 is a sweet gun. I don't have one but I used my cousins every year when I hunted in Va. | |

| Hope the original poster had a great hunt. For some reason I just can't bring myself to buying a single shot centerfire rifle. My preference is a bolt action. | |

You can use a .270 in Indiana if you buy a T/C Encore pistol. When I'm not using my Encore muzzleloader, I put my 7mm-08 pistol barrel on. | |
