Howdy, Welcome to the site. Where do you hunt down there? We might have to set up a hunt for you in the piney woods of the central portion of the state...let's be honest...I enjoy meeting folks from these forums and it seems like a good excuse!

I will be hunting in Raceland on a family friends land but since this will be my first year that I am really taking deer hunting seriously, I am looking into getting a special draw tag for the Barataria Reserve near Crown Point. I will also be trying out a few of the other public lands around here. I was a member of a lease right between White Sulphur Springs and Nebo (Southwest of Jena) a few years back but just wasn't that big into deer hunting. Just joined the lease to spend time with Dad and to pass a good time you know.

Gonna be going after them with the bow for most of this season.

I know EXACTLY where Nebo is. We had a job there a few years ago. You may have to make a trip up sometime this fall and see what happens.

ps...I understand the pass a good time deal too!
