I find myself looking forward to turkey season more and more each year. In my area quality whitetails are hard to find... permission to hunt them is even harder. Nice birds are much easier to come by and most folks are happy to let you hunt them. It works out well.

I kind of know what you're saying Don! Here in my region competition for prime deer hunting ground is fierce and high dollar leases and Outfitters have taken control of most of it. Turkey are easier to find permission to hunt and it just seems like it's a LOT less pressured and thus even more enjoyable.

It's just now starting to get this way in Indiana as well. Probably where you all were in Illinios about 5 or 6 years ago. Not really looking forward to seeing how this is going to progress
