Anyone Start Looking Yet

I found my first fresh drop Jan 1st. I've got 7 so far this year with 6 being fresh drops.
GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY THIS SEASON!!

I went for a little bit this morn. Didn't find anything though.

Every year there's always a few early droppers and in my areas for the most part there's not much fear of bumping them out of the area before they drop.So Jan. 1st. I made my first trip of the year.

My first find for the new season was this little dead 5pt.




My next find was my first fresh shed of the new year.






Not 20yds. away from that first shed find I spot another one.






That was all I found my first trip out.I did see alot of buck packing both sides.The 9th. I made another trip and found one little old one.





I made another trip Fri. the 14th.Two years ago Jan. 11th I found a Sweet set for my areas.With the 2 record snow storms we got last year that same area was void of any deer.I was hoping this year that same buck would be back and drop again in that same area.

It didn't take long and I found half of what I was looking for.







While working the area trying to find it's mate I spot this shed laying on the snow.







I no sooner start looking again after a couple pics and spot tines sticking out of the snow 20yds. away.





At first I thought this was an old shed then after pulling it from the snow realized it was the mate to the shed I'd just found.



It was almost 2 hours since I found that first antler here today and had covered alot of area with no luck at finding it's mate.
I figured I'd either already walked past it or it was in some small pocket I over looked.

At the bottom of the hill just below where I found the 1st. half there was a small section I hadn't looked so I headed back that way.Just inside the cut crop field edge and not 20yds. below where I found the 1st. half I spot the other side.









And all 4 for the day.

Those are some nice finds my friend, it's hard right now for me here in KS. with 6" of snow on the ground. It's melting off a little, i may venture out again this afternoon, and look some more.
