From now until March is ideal time to frost seed some clover for a new foodplot. In general only white clover should be frost seeded. White clover is also a perinneal so it should last 3-5 years with occasional mowing and weed control. Frost seed about 6-10#/acre and the rest takes care of itself. It is harder to get a great stand of clover without some sort of prior weed control so if you could follow soybeans or ground that was killed last fall that is ideal.
