I still haven't located a shooter buck in my normal hot spots. I sure hope things change soon. I did get a picture of a bear last week.

Thanks guys, I hope the bucks start moving around shortly. The bear round here are more concentrated in the big woods in the mountains. However, I always seem to get a picture or two every year on the farm. These bear don't bother you for the most part. I get a little nervous out West when you come across a set of these tracks 100 yards from camp. That's a 7mm Rem mag load.

I'd rather take a bear than a buck, so thats a good pic to me! The grizzly pic, not so much, I want to hunt them but I don't want them hunting me.

I would live to hunt a bear some time. How much are non residents tags for bear?

Link to the fees below. You would need to purchase a NR adult hunting ($101.70) and a NR bear ($36.70). Over the counter tags with no caps. The NR license comes with an antlered tag. We have a statewide 3 day bear season and in some areas a 6 extended season that coensides with the first week of rifle deer. I'm in the extended season at my house but our farm is North of town out of extended season zone. There's also an archery only bear season. No baiting allowed. There's some big state game land here in the extended season that holds a good number of bear, 60,000+ acres.
