possible new state record Bass

It has'nt been confirmed yet but was told by several people that a new state record Large Mouth bass was caught last Thursday in one of our small local lakes here in Springfield Mo., is supposed to be 15 lbs 7oz. just don't know for sure yet.

Well, Managed to get ahold of the MO. Conservation Dept. to get details on the big bass caught last week and was told that YES a big bass had been caught but NO it was not a new state record. Turns out it weigh 12 lbs 7 oz, not the 15 lbs 7 oz that had rumors of. None the less that is still one honker of a bass.

Oh well if it was ONLY 12 lbs nothing to talk about.....LOL Yeah right

I would have thought that too but it was at springfield lake

Reports say it was caught on a barbie kiddie pole. The bait used was a torn off piece of red lichorice.
