I saw today that Kentucky should open it's deer season on Sept 5. I've already started my plans to get down on the 11 for a three day hunt. I know it's getting a bit late for velvet at that time but I've got my fingers crossed that I'll still see one in velvet. Going to be hitting the northwest corner of the state. Should be a blast and I love starting the season early

Yeah I'll have my rump planted in a tree on the morning of Sept.5th,Robert just keep in mind it's STILL blazing hot at that time,So dress litely and remember that SCENT control,Great time to wear the ole Scent Blocker EXT suit.You should still get a shot at a velvet,We had one shot the 3rd week of the season last year.Good luck and maybe we can hook up when your up there.

Two years ago I hunted in Missouri with Mike and it was 96 degrees a couple of days. I figure it wont be any hotter than that. Man did that suck.
