My buddy Jay (coyote killer) just got back from a black bear hunting trip in Alaska. Him and a friend went on their own without a guide and they each took a bear. He brought the pics by the other day and they were amazing! I will try to get him to post the story and a few pics soon.

Thats awesome, can't wait to hear the story. I'm planning on doing a black bear hunt in Alaska within the next few years, stalking up the creeks, never knowing when your going to come around a bend and be face to face with a big blackie gorging on salmon...

I went to Prince of Whales Island in Alaska to go black bear hunting. Some of the largest in the world of black bear are on this island. He was 6 1/2 feet tall and was over 400 pounds. He had a 19 inch skull.
