My 7 year old Evan. Is playing his first year of tackle football (2nd grade)

last Sat was the first game....like Tee Ball no offical score is kept, but his team kicked butt LOL 32-6

any way he played Offensive Tackle and RB (about 18 yards on 2 carries)

and played Defensive End and had 3 tackles.....one was on the 2 point conversion after the other team did score....with about a minute to go.

He was Right D end.....it was a sweep the other way...he got off his block...ran down the line and planted the kid of no grain!!!!......I was very proud

Dont hold it against him!!! he's playing for the Steelers.....

Thats great Mark,Love to see the little guys out there on the field. Up til this year I coached for 16yrs,From 5&6 yr olds to finished up with 7th&8th graders at a local (private) school. Every year I would have to answer the question " Why do you do this you don't even have a son". I just love teaching the game to kids. Just let Evan know there will be good & bad days,BUT the good days will out weight the bad ones.Keep me posted on how he and the team are doing. I miss it already and they have just been practicing for 3 weeks,I have to sneak by there every now and then and just watch them. GOOD LUCK EVAN

Mark's been a Colts season ticket holder for about 20 years so it must be pretty tuff on him to chear for the steelers.

Evan is a good kid and I think he'll do very well.

Good deal Mark. Can't wait to get my liitle one started on football, but I have a couple of years to go. Good luck to your son on the season. I dont hold the Steelers thing against you but you should consider moving so he doesn't have to be a Steeler for two seasons.

I am not a sports nut. I do not watch any pro games on TV hardly ever, only unless it involvess the great out doors and something getting harvested. But I love to watch little kids play foot ball. They are so fun to watch. I bet you are proud. My friends boy used to play when he was that age, and I loved to watch him play. Congrats on your little ones adventures. Any one who has not seen little kids play, make a point to.
