    Check this bearded hen out. I took this pic a few years ago in Virginia while scouting for the upcoming turkey season. It was only 2 weeks befor the season opened. With the snow on the ground tracking their daily movement for that days was easy. Thought it was a cool pic and wanted to share. Thats the longest beard I have ever saw on a hen.

    I have seen a good bit of bearded hens but nothing with a beard no where close to the one on that one.

    Most bearded hens have tiny pencil thin beards that you really have to look for to see it. If your not looking for it you'll probablly miss it.

    Never see a bearded hen before. Geuss its like shootin a whitetailed doe that has antlers. Seen pics of them before.

    Chack the regs, most places I have hunted it's legal to shoot any bearded turkey, hen or gobbler as long as it has a beard it's legal.
