I made it out to the lake Friday night for some bowfishing. My buddy got the first one in the boat before dark. Firing up the lights after dark is when the fun began. Shoulda had more in the boat but some pulled through as we were swinging the gaf. Turns out the camera batteries were shot so a cell phone shot of one will have to do. I'm going to have to make it out again one of these nights this week.

Man I would love to do that sometime. Just haven't found a place to do it yet. Bowfishing for sting rays on Mds eastern shore is getting pretty popular now. Might have to look into that. Congrats on the carp Wacker.

My buddy uses his 50# recurve. Just last night he said he looked at his old compound and decided not to switch over to it. Lots rather the recurve than a compound for bowfishing.
CA, I shot a ray on the OBX sound side years ago. The boat I had at the time ran deep so it limited range. This year I was poking them with the butt of my rod on the surf side.
