I was checking out the moon phases earlier and it looks like the opener here in Tennessee will be under a full moon. My favorite hunting time late October thru mid November look good!

How much influence do y'all think the moon has on a mature bucks daytime movement?

Id say a lot especially during the early season when the temps are higher.

I think it has alot to do with it. When the temps. are higher during midday, i try to hunt water holes, food sources. And i love to hunt shady dried up creek beds. In early seas. here it seems they like those areas.

In early season I think it has alot to do with it. When rut starts I think it goes out the window.

I think during the early season the moon doesn't have to much effect on movement. With the high temps they tend to move to bed before shooting light in the morning and right at dark in the evening. Now if the temps drop they will move more during the day and later in the fall when temps stay cooler is when I see more daytime activity and I believe the moon has more of a affect on deer. But that has just been my observation on it.
