I have never hunted by the moon phase but interested in hearing from those that do.

I tried it one year but to be honest I hunt whenever I can and moon phase or not you can't kill a deer sitting at home. I'm in my tree no matter what. I have seen a full moon hurt the hunting a lot but other than that I just can't tell much of a difference

I try follow it when I can.I try to pick the best days or best daylight activity times when I want to use some vacation time, weather will play a roll for me too.one of the best things I have bought was one of those hunting timer watches, already on my third one.

I have one it's made by Casio called the Pathfinder and it's a hunting timer it works on the moon phase and tells you when hunting is at it's best or worse. Got it at Cabela's you program your latitude and time zone into it and it shows you the moon phase in the face of the watch. I like mine. just don't pay much attention to it's phase though. lol

Yeah, that's the one I have. When 4 deer heads come on,it is the peak or best time for movment. It's mostly a conifdence boost thing for me.It seems to be about 80% accurate.
