Ok folks the deer season is around the corner,our Ky season opens this weekend,wanted to remind EVERYONE to wear those safety belts I don't care what brand you wear as long as you have one on! For the folks (and I know many) that say I'm not paying $100=$150 for a safety harness let me ask you this,"Is your life not worth that much"? Always remember you have family at home waiting on you so BUCKLE UP!!!!! Good luck to all.

I agree completely. In the past we've given away over 100 safety vest and they were all brands. We are sponsored by Summit and they make harnesses but I feel safe in saying they'd rather have you wear another brand then not wear one.

You can buy inexpensive harnesses for under 40 bucks. I'm not buying into the uncomfortable part either. I hardly even notice it's on and have even wore my old one while hunting on the ground cause I like the pocket set up.

Plus I've seen someone fall from a tree stand and it's the worse feeling in the world to have knowing you can't do anything to stop it

That is so true. I have a buddy in a wheel chair for the rest of his life paralized from the neck down, from falling from a tree stand. Please wear them. Be safe.

Great post and always where your harness when your hanging your stands as well. You just never know when its going to happen.

This is true... Don't be the guy that thinks you can get away without wearing one and that thinks a "fall" wont happen to you.

Great post Steve. This is a very important safety reminder and lets not forget or short cut all the others that are just as important in making sure everyone goes home to their family each and everyday. BE SAFE !

Great posts. I never get in the stand with out one. I have used cheap ones and more expensive ones. Any this is better than nothing. Everyone be safe out there this year.
