So yesterday was the last day of gun season, and after hunting hard all season in the sometimes brutal wind, I finally saw a decent 8 pointer walk out at about 10:15am. One 90 yard shot from my .44 double lunged him and he went maybe 100 yards. He's no trophy as far as score goes, but he's a trophy to me!
Way to go Zach! You have had a great year with both a gun and bow buck... Great job my friend.

Thanks Mitch, its the old Ruger 44 carbine, they were made in the 60's, 70's and early 80's I think, and there are still ew of them floating around. Semi auto, 18.5 inch barrel, its a great lightweight shortrange deer gun.
