Big Buck Down

Well here he is, the number one deer on my hit list!! His name is Numero Uno and he is the biggest buck I have harvested to date. I got him on Sunday September 27th, the second day of our archery season here in Ohio. We hunted him on Saturday and saw him but didn't get a shot at him. SO we ent to the stand on Sunday at noon (yeah that early). Then this big boy didnt come in until and I shot him at 6:23 pm. We sat in the stand for over 11 hours on the first two days of the season and what a reward. I shot him with a rage 2 blade and he only went about 50 yards and piled up. I dont know how to get the footage on here or I would try and do it. Well hope you like the pics. Oh yeah this is the buck some people on here said I should let him walk. Well I didnt and I am thinking if anyone saw this buck walk under them they would not be able to let him walk.

Did you ever get an estimate on his green score? He is a super trophy... Job well done!

Well a couple of you have asked if I have put a tape on him yet, and the answer is no and nor I or anyone else is going to put a tape on him. The score of this deer is not important, it is just like age it is just a number. His score doesn't matter. What does matter is that he is big buck and that is the buck I sat out to hunt and harvest this year and I was successful doing so. I am not saying that there is anything wrong with taping deer to get there score, it is just not for me. I have only scored one of my deer and that was when I was younger. Sorry to disappoint any of you who wanted to know the score. I know I was asking some of you in my other posts about what you thought some of these bucks would score. I just did that to make sure that I knew I was thinking closely to what you guys were because I am terrible at looking at trail cams and guessing that. Well hope everyone has a great season.

No worries... you shot him and that's your decision. You are right sometimes people get to wrapped up in scoring deer.
